WD40EFRX Spin down and up every 20 minutes

Hi all,

I have PR2100 NAS which does go to standby, but every 20 minutes it’s awake.
The NAS has been replaced and also the HDD WD40EFRX but the same issue occurred.

Even when the NAS is empty and all the features disabled.
I noticed that Ultrastar goes into standby and won’t awake for days unless I try to rich it, however the configuration of the NAS sits on the WD red so I’m not sure.

Yes I’m fully aware that NAS supposed to work 24/7, however I use my NAS once in a week maximum, therefore expect it to go to standby mode for good. Moreover that spin down/up every 20 minutes isn’t healthy

Does anyone know if there is an issue with WD40EFRX?

Thanks, that was the first thing I did followed by 2 months investigation with WD support which lead to no conclusion and a promise for new feedback which will fix the issue; which never happened.
So I thought to ask if anyone here experience the same with this HDD
