WD2go iOS app does not play videos larger than 2GB

I am not able to play/stream mp4 iOS compatible video files on an iphone/ipad. Is this a known limitation? If so, is there any plan to support large files?

I was able to play then through a local network… not sure if is possible from a different network.

On the local network I am able to play up to 4GB video files. I have tried several 6 to 14 GB with h.264+aac and those are unable to play in the WD2go app.
