I have a My Book Duo which I have some problems with. I am currently doing a complete drive test and it has been stuck on 10% for over 12 hours. Does this indicate some kind of failure with this device?

I suggest Seatools which works with everyone’s hard disk and SSD, can run short and long self test and it also can wipe storage which is hand for hard disks as this can help the disk recover bad blocks etc
Twelve hours at 10% is not normal. It could be bad sectors a USB connection issue or the enclosure hanging while reading the drive. Try a different USB port and cable then rerun the test. If it still freezes back up your data as soon as possible because the drive could be starting to fail.
This doesn’t necessarily mean the device is broken; it could simply be an issue with the battery display or the firmware status. You might want to try restarting the device and checking for firmware updates. If it remains stuck at 10%, it would be helpful to provide the specific model and firmware version so others can assist in diagnosing the problem.
