My Book Complete Drive Test Hangs at 90 percent

My 4TB My Book passes first 2 WD Diagnostics but always stalls at 90% when I attempt a full test.
Diagnostics ran for over 48 hours with no progress.

After reviewing this site along with doing some “googling” it appears this issue has been ongoing since 2011!!!

Hard to believe no solution is available after over a decade of users experiencing the same issue.
