In my initial testing of the above, I cannot get any audio signal output at all through the HDMI connection with the mentioned sample rate. I am able to play 192/24, 96/24, & 88/24 without any trouble.
Anybody else seeing this?
Did it work on prior versions?
176kHz didn’t work before either. It did work on firmwares way back (downsampled to 44.1). Plus, before, the 96, 192kHz where downsampled to 48kHz.
If they release the same FW for WDTV Live, I will be able to tell more.
Until the version of software referenced above, I was never able to get above 48kHz sample rate on anything, save for a couple of DTS encoded DVD ISOs that were able to provide 96kHz.
does the live only version have this problem as well? Have anyone tested to see if it downsamples 192 or 96khz to 48 or has that been fixed? How about those 96/24 flacs in 5.1? That will be my only reason to upgrade. Thanks
