WD TV does not see share

Hi guys,

I have topic in issues, but maybe one of you can spot what else I can do for WD TV to see my PC (it was working before, just one time I started WDTV when PC was offline and tried to access, got error and since then I can’t access it). Rebooted many times and went through setup. my pc is Win 7 x64

Both PC and WD is in WORKGROUP

Work network (was public before but it worked)

network discovery - on

file and printer sharing - on

Media streaming - disabled Windows to manage homegroup connections (recommended) - checked

any other thing I should check?

Are you using a router between your PC and SMP? I had the same problem and I had to put the router in a different Workgroup name. The SMP network capabilities are just bad. Many people out there have problems with shares.
But with a little endurance you may find a soluttion probably…

Try to put your PC and SMP on a dedicated workgroup.

thanks man,

my setup is modem/router to PC and to switch which is connected to WD TV. It was working fine before with WORKGROUP but now I will try anything to make it work.

I will check your advice and will update.
