WD Passport not showing up - HELP

Hi!

I’ve had My Passport For Mac hard drive for about two years, never had any problems with it. But today, it just stopped working, it’s not showing up in Finder. And it did work fine earlier today, I didn’t make any type of changes to my Mac in between… I just have SO much on there that I desperately need, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

(I use a Mid 2014 Macbook Pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 and have tested on a Macbook air also)

Was your hard drive disconnected by accident? Did you try replacing the unit’s USB cable? Is the hard drive detected within Disk Utility for a health test?

I didn’t try anything, but for some reason it just started working again… All I did was disconnect and re-connect and it was all good! Hopefully it stays that way.
