How can I password a share?
I’ve tried turning off public access, but then it doesn’t allow me to access the share with the 1 account I’ve given access to it. What am I doing wrong?
When you turn off Public Access to a share (via the Dashboard) it (in a lower section called User Access on the same screen) provides you the option of selecting the permission level for each user.
If you haven’t already done so it is recommended that one reads the WD My Cloud User Manual as it explains how to set permission levels on private shares along with explaining many other features and options on the WD My Cloud. See Chapter 8 Managing Shares in the User Manual.
You can open up the dashboard too and click on/activate Help (?), look under Managing Your Personal Cloud and find out how to set up shares.
