Hello. My wd my passport is not working. i got it on Christmas unopened and it stopped working january 22 this year. i have tried the freezer trick, and just waiting. i think the data reader is stuck and if you can give me a tutorial how to put it in the right place that would be helpful

Have you tried using the unit on a different PC or using a different USB cable?

Yes, it still doesn’t work

When I go into the we drive utilities it shows no smart status and it is 0 bytes please help, it started happening in January and I got it in December 2015. I can’t afford another one and I don’t care about the data on it.
