The single bay My Cloud is supposed to have a number of partitions in order to run the operating system that is stored on the My Cloud hard drive. If you removed those partitions and reformatted the hard drive, that drive will NO LONGER work in the My Cloud enclosure. If you want to restore your My Cloud to working order you will need to follow one of the various methods to restore the hard drive. Search the subforum for “unbrick” to find various past discussions on restoring a hard drive to working order for use in a single bay My Cloud enclosure.
Note that the directions for restoring a single bay My Cloud (not My Cloud Home, that is a different device) will be different depending on if the single bay My Cloud is first generation, P/N number on bottom of My Cloud ends in “-00”. Or is second generation single bay My Cloud who’s P/N number ends with “-10”.
User Fox_exe has posted “unbrick” methods (and associated files need for that method). See the appropriate set of directions based on your single bay My Cloud version.
