I have a WD My Book for Mac, purchased maybe 3 months ago and it’s disappeared from view. Have tried different cable (works fine on much older external hard drive) moved plug to wall, restarted, re-connected etc etc. In disk utility it’s there but greyed out. And just as a trial I hit repair and am getting error message. This is a basically brand new hard drive. Gonna try tech support phone call but it’s 10pm so I thought I’d try here for advice. Thanks.
