Hi there, these may sound like stupid questions but here goes

Will the WD Live TV Hub stream Video to a WD TV Live Media Player

   From the internal storage Yes/NO

   From an external storage connected to the WD Live TV Hub

Does the WD Live TV Hub use my home WiFi network or

Does it have the capability to operate with out it?

Yes, it will stream from both internal and USB storage.

It does not have built-in WiFi.  It has built-in ethernet.

if you connect a WD TV Live to a Wireless router via an ethernet. cable it will do the same thing
