So, I have the same problem with this folder completely filling my 2T My Cloud making it unusable. I’m not interested in switching to a different sync manager. My question is, can I just safely delete the content of this folder (1.6 TB) and move on? What are the side effects? I don’t mind occasionally emptying it and I don’t care about version histories.
Edit: Further investigation shows that deletion isn’t going to solve the problem. Starting 9/17/16, My cloud creates a 218,031 KB file every minute at all times of day or night regardless of whether the computers connected to it are on off. It doesn’t do this constantly or even every day. But it will do it for hours at a time. I have submitted a support request to WD.
