Yesterday while updating firmware for my Essential Book Model NO WDBAAF0010HBK-00, power gone in between. after that whenever updating the firmware system giving the message as " WD Firmware Updater is unable to determine the appropriate firmware for your drive" and when I connecting my drive to system, unable to detect my hard disk, even in disk management also it is not showing. please help me I have so much important data in the hard drive
A Firmware update is a very intricate process.
This is one of the reasons is recommended to backup all data before attempting in case something like this happens.
The unfinished update seems to have affected the partition.
