My WD Elements portable drive’s connection is being detected but yet Windows 10 isn’t reading the device.
Instead I see a popup that says: D:\ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
I’ve gone through the Contact Us page but it hasn’t changed once I clicked submit. Can someone help me with the issue of my portable drive?
Anyone? Please help me. I see people have read the posting but no one responded.

Hello,
Normally an I/O error is related to a connection problem. It could be a cable or a port on the drive or the computer.
Have you test the drive using a different USB cable? Perhaps, a different PC
I’ve tested the USB cord with the other 2 portable drives and they work
fine. So you can imagine why I’m so despondent. Thanks for responding by
