WD Elements portable HDD (2TB) works on windows but not mac

shows up on my pc and windows laptop but will not show up on my mac

cannot even see it in disc utility to repair / verify

have tried formatting using windows still not helping

have tried both usb ports on mac, have also unplugged/turned off/plugged in/turned on - also nothing

Which OS are you using on the Mac?  If El Capitain, call and/or email WD customer service to determine if WD Elements is compatible w/the new OS.

hi! using OS X Yosemite - version 10.10.5

strange thing is, it worked when i first bought it 2 weeks ago

now it will only work on every thing else other than my macbook :frowning:
