The latest version of WD Drive Utilities is 2.0.0.48 at the time of this post. Does this version support the latest build 1803 of Windows 10?
I looked through the release notes for WD Drive Utilities 2.0.0.48. I saw in the notes that version 2.0.0.26 brought support for Windows 10 Build 1709, the prior build. But, there’s no mention about Build 1803 specifically.
I ask because I just installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 Build 1803, and a fresh copy of WD Drive Utilities 2.0.0.48 and I’m noticing some weirdness. The file WDDriveService.exe will constantly scan my USB drives, over and over, including my USB Card Reader. My card reader has a big LED on it showing when a card is being accessed/scanned, and the LED is constantly flashing, it never stops. As soon as I stop that service, then the drive scanning stops.
