While the installation of WD discovery v.3.4.89 under Windows 10 on My Passport Ultra was successful, the installation of the apps WD Backup /Security/Drive security failed. Unfortunately no error specification is given.
- the de-installation of WD Discovery with wise uninstaller was successful, but did not solve the problem.
- I tried what is suggested under Fix WD Software Will Not Install, Update, Start, or Uninstall on Windows. The file checker indeed repaired some corrupted files, but the problem remained.
- Disabling the antivirus did not help either.
- I then installed the WD Backup.exe separately. The installation worked, but the backup itself then failed.
Any ideas how to solve this? I am without any ideas what to try next. Thank you!
