WD Caviar Blue 500GB WD5000AAKS RMA Possible?

Hi guys,

I run HDD Sentinel and tonight I have had an error come up for my WD5000AAKS. It says the following:

Does this warrant the drive for an RMA?

As you can see the drive has gone from 44% yesterday to 7% today and is showing a critical alert.

I also tried running Western Digitals’ LifeGuard Diagnostics software and upon running the short test, I got the following result:

"you should use the warranty for your drive… its seems that is developing bad sectors

 

please install hard disk sentinel and see that particular drive"

I have installed Hard Disk Sentinel as you can see in the first post.

The drive is still in warranty as you can see in the following screenshot:

Can you please advise me whether this drive is possible to be RMA’d?

I’m not from WD support, but yes, if the DLG test fails you can replace the hard drive without problems.
