I bought a brand new 8 TB hard drive. However, when I installed it in my computer I get the error message “A device which does not exist was specified.” whenever I try to do anything with it in Disk Management, such as initialize it. Additionally, it doesn’t show up in Windows Explorer. My computer has also had issues booting since I plugged it into my computer, and when I try to plug it in while the computer is running it blue screens. I called WD support and they said my best course of action would be to get a refund through Amazon, but I want to know if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a way I can fix it. Please let me know.
