I buy new HDD WD Blue 8TB yesterday
When i try to connect with my pc and check in disk management, it said “unknown and not initialized”
And when i try to initialized to GPT or MBR (which way i try both), and than it said “the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error”

And i give up, i don’t know anymore

Can you guys help me?

It to bad it is broken, i’l just wasted my money

Sounds Broken

Try a different PC … Try a different USB etc … if still no joy, then contact the seller and request a replacement or a refund.

PS. A 8TB Drive must be partitioned GPT … if you partition it MBR, only 2TB will be usable.
