Cannot initialize new WD Blue 2TB ("The system cannot find the file specified")

I get this error in Disk management when trying to initialize this new internal harddrive, have tried using the cables that my current HDD is using and it doesn’t show up in the Disk management window.

Side note: it also makes my PC startup take a long time especially the motherboard splash screen.
