I installed WD Discovery including WD backup and WD utilities. WD Discovery sees my external drive under the STORAGE tab. It shows the drive and how much of the drive is free. However, WD backup and WD utilities do not see the drive. When I try to make a backup plan, it only allows me to backup to Dropbox.
I went to the support link and reinstalled wd backup, sill not seeing the drive, pls help
I had the same problem. The drive was a WD Elements. Apparently, Elements drives don’t work with backup. I bought a WD Passport drive and everything worked fine.
I have a passport. WD backup used to see the external drive. I have unistalled and reinstalled WD backup software, still does not recognize my Passport Drive. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Does file explorer and WD Discovery see your drive. Can you list files on the drive?
