Dear friends, I installed the new windows 10 and I discovered that WD anywhere backup doesn’t work anymore. Do you how to deal with this problem.

Sorry mate, Win10 is not officially supported yet on the new products and this software is very old.
Besides reinstalling the software there’s not much that we can share with you.

that’s pretty much what I have been finding since I upgraded to Windows 10. Is there possibly another WD backup software that I can use with My Book in order to make my product funtional again? It would be a shame to have to buy another drive.
HI. The WD Anywhere Backup product is actually supplied by Memeo. I you install Memeo Backup Premium it will run in Windows 10 and will recognise your existing back up plans. You can’t install a trial because it detects you WD installation as an expired trial so you will need to buy it.

i found that website and before i tried to download the trial version just to be sure that it works in windows 10 and in the way it worked WD anywhere. However, the download stops in few seconds. I would like to try the software because the previous software was perfect and I do not want to find a software which works in a different way. Could you assure that this software allows me to backup different folders, will do incremental backup and finally and very important will update the backup and files immediately when the files are changed? If so, I can buy it right now.

I am just another user so you need to check with Memeo directly if you
have some doubt. All I can say is that it works as a direct replacement
for me. I run multiple back up plans to a local USB drive and network
storage for more than one user account on a single PC running Windows
10. The premium back up product found all of my plans that existed in
Windows 7 with the WD product and they are updating correctly. It also
allowed me to set up a new plan for selected files. The number of
previous version copies can also be adjusted to suit your needs. In come
plans I keep 5 versions and in other plans only 2.
If you need to protect more than one PC you will need to buy additional
licences. The pricing offers some choices. You can probably use
download.com or sourceforge as alternative sources for the download.
After installation you need to click ‘buy’ and get a licence code from
Memeo.

Sorry, no idea about any coupon or offers. As I mentioned I am only

Hi. I just ran into a similar problem So, you’re saying if I buy Memeo Premium backup it will, not only recognize, my old backups (done with WD Anywhere backup) but be able to restore? I have the trial version of Memeo Premium and it recognizes my older backup plan. But it says -
“The selected destination cannot be used because it was created by a different registered copy of Memeo Backup Premium. Please select a different folder”.
I have no issues with purchasing the software but I need to be sure it will work. I need my files back.

Glad to find this information. Mn101 I’m looking forward to hearing about the Memeo software. I upgraded as well and expected a company like WD wouldn’t leave us high and dry. I have some pictures and information from a couple of computers ago I would like to pull off and burn to disk as well as keep them on My World Book, white light. To be honest once I get this all straight I’ll probably switch to someone else’s back up products.
Pretty darn annoyed to find out that WD Anywhere Backup doesn’t work on Windows 10!
