WD 2TB Elements media player trouble

Hi,

I am concerned, my mediaplayer is still working fine, but I notice that every now and then there is a backlight blink, so the movie  blinks to be a bit lighter…quite annoying…I would like to know if this is a software or hadware problem…the mediaplayer is less than a year old…

Does this happens with all the movies? Have you test the unit with a different hard drive?

I have not opened the unit, so it is the same hdd. I first noticed it when I watched some black and white oldies, I thought it was the movies, but then I noticed it on the newer movies as well, but it was less noticeable. It flicks to light and dark and I believe that is why it was more noticeable with the black and white movies…

I really appreciate any input you might have…
