Warranty question

Hi all,
One of my HD has degraded, the unit is still under warranty (only 7 months old), will WD just send me a new replacement HD ? or will I need to purchase one from them and have a refund on return of the faulty HD.

Or

Can I pop to Maplin and buy one and claim the money back from WD.

Just wondered if anyone has had this situation.

WD will replace the drive for you. WD support does not process refunds for drives that you purchased on a retail store besides the WD online store.
