Volumes missing after power outage

Hello everyone and heres hoping you can help me out with my NAS.

In the past few weeks, I’ve suffered a series of power failures after which thankfully my Ex4 still worked flawlessly and continued to do so without fault.

However, last night I suffered one and it dropped my larger and most significant RAID volume (I have 2 - one of just under 1TB and the 2nd is 4.5TB both Raid 5 across 3 drives).

The disk SMART status on all 3 drives is listed as “Good” and the health is “Healthy”.

Now I know I had around 3.5TB of data on that particular volume in 3 shares, and that that data is still there, but I don’t know how I can recreate the missing volume without formatting away the data.

Do I have a chance?

Hello there, welcome to the community.

I’m sorry to read that you are unable to access the information on your drive. How you enabled the “Auto rebuild” setting on the dashboard?

Hi Iluna_polanco,

Auto rebuild has always been set to on.

You can attempt to reset the drive by pressing the reset button from the back of the device for 4 seconds, once the drive reboots, check if the RAID is rebuilding. If this doesn’t work you should  contact WD.

No luck with that either.

I have a feeling, that I’ve lost it all.

:frowning:

Thanks for your suggestion though Iluna_polanco!
