VLC Viewer Connection, Android TV

Hello Community,

I have installed VLC Media Player on my Android TV. Under “Network”, my My Cloud Home is shown. But when I look in the folders, I find folders I can’t find when I look in my my cloud storage from my computer. I don’t know, what folders are shown to me. The first folder is called “public”, but on my my cloud there is no folder called public.

Can you help me?

The public share can be seen with Windows or Mac SMB share (LAN). VLC cannot see ‘User Private Space’ unless you run Plex either on the My Cloud Home or another server.
