Cannot connect using SMB on VLC player anymore

My old WD My Cloud would easily connect to VLC using SMB server, and it would show up on my Samsung TV as a NAS device.

The new one does not show up in the TV and I cannot connect to it using VLC media player. (It only shows the PUBLIC folder).
HELP!!
Don’t tell me about PLEX please. I know it works, but I don’t want to move my whole life to some Plex shared folder. I want to connect to any folder I create myself.
