Hello, is it possible to watch videos from the MBL on the iPhone with the new 2.x Firemware? Any Steaming app? Greetings, S.
WD2Go allow you to stream video to your iPhone.
Remeber that the videos need to be in a format you iphone can play… since there is no “open with” this currently means your restricted to videos the default iPhone video player can read…
Thanks for the answers. So there is no possibility to watch for example .avi oder .mkv? Greeting, Saylim.
As has been said the software bundled can’t deliver all the formats, but don’t worry, you have good alternatives. The easiest and fastest to setup is AIRVIDEO, the more complete, elegant and nice, far more that any other, PLEX, but t get all the bells you must be Apple … If you are Windows then XMBC will do the job almost as good than PLEX. All these solutions are cheap, if not free, and all have clients for iPhone.
My advice is to start with AIRVIDEO, then explore PLEX (I think that it’s the best media center for MAC) or XMBC.

You can convert the video to a format the iOS device can play- or you can wait until a version of WD 2go comes out with the “open with” option - I read somewhere on here from a WD guy that they were looking into adding it.
You are wrong! I use AirPlayer for example. Search App Store for it. There’s other players that can play avi or mkv through UPnP or DLNA in the App Store also. Just search!
Good luck!

Thats not through WD 2go… - A DLNA server will transcode the videos to a compatible format - WD 2go does not do this, so it requires the files to be in a format compatible with the player.
