Hey,
I always feel like such a juvenille when I can’t login into something, but this has me stumped. I tried installing a new My Book World Edition II via Windows 7 and the CD ROM that came with it was useless as the buttons on the set-up program lacked any text. This was probably because the CD was made for XP and Vista installations.
Luckily for me, or unluckily, Windows 7 mapped the drive to my ‘My Book’ and I can now move files between my laptop and the ‘My book’ but only to ‘Shared folders’ and ‘Download’. However, I can’t login to the administrator portion of the ‘My Book’, because I have no idea what the username/password for the ‘My Book’ is, due to the automatic installation. I tried using my laptop’s adminstrator username/password, but no luck. Any ideas how I can find out what my laptop has chosen as username/passord for the ‘My book’? Or, how I could reset the username/password for the ‘My Book’?
thanks so much,
B
