I am just about ready to throw out this WDTV… Had the gen1 which was great.
Have the latest firmware, put in a USB stick and sometimes it detects the drive, sometimes it does not. Can’t see a pattern yet.
Have fully powered off. Removed the .wdtv folder on the drive, but it refuses to pick up the stick.
Sometimes it just doesn’t rescan the drive, so the white light does not flash.
Tried both USB ports.
Apart from it not being able to detect my shared drive and all the folders on a network share, it’s a nice unit.
Any suggestions to help with it not detecting different brands of usb drive inserted at random times?
