I have a WD TV First Generation unit with 1.01.02 firmware. I want to upgrade to 1.03 but there is no firmware icon in the setting section. Anyone else have this problem? Is there another way to upgrade the firmware? Tx
I am a newbie and would never suggest I know ■■■■ but I just wasted three hours trying to figure out the same issue.
I needed to discover the correct generation type of device and then was able to download the proper files to the usb root.
Until that info was corrected, there was nowhere to upgrade the firmware and because the system didn’t recognize my files, it did nothing and I saw no upgrade option. As soon as I did, everything happens automatically.
