Understanding iTunes server and the connection to the iPhone/iPad

Hi

When looking around for a network harddrive I settled on the WD My Book Live because of the iTunes server, I was under the assumption that my moves/music and tv shows would be accessible via the stock apps. I have tried the wd2go app which is ok, but when watching a video the title bar does not dissapear which is pointless.

Should my media files be accessible in this way?

No. That only works if you have a PC running iTunes on your network.

You need to press the MAXIMIZE button to dismiss the title bar.
