Storing all Itunes music on WD live book and also using it as an itunes server

Hi all,

So i have managed to move all of my itunes library over to the WD Live book using the instructions on the website.

I also made sure that the library went into the shared Music folder on the drive.

I have enabled itunes server and this works if i have my mac open and itunes working, but i cannot get it working if my mac is off.

If my mac is off neither my iphone or my ipad are able to see the server.

Anyone got any suggestions to what im doing wrong??

AFAIK this is by design

The drive will act as the server but not the app itself

since you are using iTunes you will need the app running on the PC
