Unable to select a folder(s) for backup

Hello,

My Passport 2TB, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

WD Smartware 2.4.10.17 (latest available as of this post)

WE firmaware updater 3.2.5.1 - firm

Firmware revision 1025

In the BACKUP tab I am unable to select a specific folder I want to include in my backup.  Clicking on that folder does not add a check mark.  It works for some other folders. 

I have switched from Category to File backup, exited WD SmartWare, re-started my computer, etc. to no avail.

What’s the folder that you are trying to backup? 

What type of files are on that folder?

It is the main (C:\DATA) folder in my local hard drive. A lot of documents and photos.  There are no program files.

I uninstalled all software and utilities (SmartWare, Drive Unlocker, Quick View, etc) and resintalled the original version from the drive. Everything works with that version of Smartware (v1.6?)  The upgrade to 2.4.10 seems to be the issue. 

Also, every time I check for an update it indicates smartWare v2.4.10.17 is available altough I’ve applied that update already.

Worked with Customer Support and confirmed it is an issue in v 2.4.10.  Downgraded to V 2.4.6 and has been working fine. Thanks to Customer Support for the help and call back.
