Unable to access my files when not at home

Hello, apologies if this is not the correct place to post this but I wonder if someone can please assist me. I have not changed anything or updated anything on my drive for a long time, as far as I am aware.

I have happily been using WDMyCloud Home as a NAS for several years, both on my computer at home and on my mobile phone either at home or whilst out and about. Now however, I can not access my NAS drive via my mobile devices if I am not connected to the internet at home.

If I try to connect to my drive on my computer at home using a web browser, I get a message telling me that it “Can’t connect to WDMyCloud”.

It tells me to update the MYCloud firmware using the Device dashboard (Web Interface) under settings.

I have absolutely no idea how to do that. If I click on the icon of my WDMyCloud device it just tells me that it is offline.

I can see the contents of my NAS drive using finder on my Mac but I don’t see any mention of settings in there.

Can someone please offer me advice on how to progress this?

Many thanks.

Are you sure you have a My Cloud Home?

Cannot Access My Cloud Home Dashboard (wd.com)

My Cloud Home Firmware Update (wd.com)

My Cloud Home User Manual

My mistake. I’m sorry, it’s a sign of my age.

No, it isn’t a My Cloud home, it is a 4TB MYCloud Personal storage device.

Apologies all round.
