Twonky Wonky - Help

Can anyone help?

Seems I have accidentally deleted Twonky from My Cloud NAS Drive.

How do I get it back?

Andy

Hello,

I haven’t try that. Let’s see if any of the users can share some information about it.

Could you elaborate on how Twonky was “accidentally” deleted? Since it is part of the OS, it can’t be deleted. Did you access the My Cloud via SSH and try and modify the LINUX code in any way?

I have no idea how it has disappeared. I am suspecting my kids have deleted it. It was there and now it is not.
Can’t really say anything more. I have a copy of the original folder structure, but either my MAc or My Cloud wont let be drag and dump it back in there…

Unless your children know how to modify LINUX code, I doubt they could have done anything to delete it. By chance did you go into the Apps menu and install the PLEX media server? This would disable the Twonky media server. If not, I suggest performing a system only restore to try and reload the code for the Twonky media server again. A system only restore would reset the operating system to factory defaults without deleting any data or shares. It can be found under Settings-Utilities.
