I have several MP4 files that Twonky is showing “data” as the Title. When I look at the metadata in either Windows File Explorer or MediaMonkey, the title is correct “My Episode” for example. I’ve tried editing the Title metadata using several tools and this doesn’t help.
One troubleshooting step when Twonky shows incorrect metadata information is to remove all of the media file’s metadata. For example using MP3Tag one can right click on the media file and select Remove Tag to remove all of the metadata tags on a media file. In some cases there may be hidden tags that are being parsed by Twonky and displaying the incorrect information to the media/streaming player. Perform a rescan of media files. Then see how that media file gets displayed by Twonky. If the incorrect metadata is gone then one can reedit the media file to add new metadata information/tags.
Other troubleshooting steps is to rebuild the Twonky database if possible.
