TP-Link TL-WR1043ND V2 router problem

I used to watch movies from my computer via WIFI on my WDTVLive with my old TP-link router but today i bought a new router (TP-link TL-WR1043ND v2) but i can not get it to work with my player. It connects to the WIFI but when i do the check connection it shows me an error: no internet connection. Of course I can’t see the shared folder as well because i can not enter to network shares. I can see the WDTVLIVE on my computer’s network but that’s it…

What should i try to change?

Thanks
Mark

Hello,

Were you using the media player with a static ip? If yes, the ip might need to be updated since the ip range on the new router might be different.

If it was setup by DHCP, have you tried resetting the media player so it can re-establish the connection with the new router.

Hi,

I used the media player with DHCP. I reseted the player at least 5 times since I have the new router and i get the “no connection” when i check the settings.
