I’m not aware any french tranlations … so you’ll have to tinker with dribblers theme.

You need to use a graphics editor eg. Photoshop, Gimp

Instructions and download PSD file for the Main Menu are on Page(1)

For everything else … you wil need to un-zip the theme, look and find anything in English and edit it to French

eg. video_gallery_video_icon

video_gallery_video_icon.png

When finished with all the editing …re-zip the theme at root level with no compression (aka.store)

Thank you so much for the very nice theme!

My music folder/file structure looks like that

“album name.cue”

“album name.flac”

folder.jpg

Album cover is not shown during playback of the album or track. Is there any way to see the album cover on the Album / Now Playing screen?

#343

almost 100% certain that the Album/Now Playing screen displays an image from embedded artwork (not the folder.jpg image)

use mp3tag to insert (embed) artwork into your *.flac 's     http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

Amazing theme, thank you! Been using it for a few days now and totally enjoy this! One question tho… The main menu icons are not located in the middle of the screen for me… they are at the bottom of the screen and only displaying half the icon. I have attached a pic of this.

Thanks again for the great theme and any help you can provide!!

Hello,

Im using Titan  Version 1.5.35 , and im having issue when i’m

Browsing from movie to movie spically when im in this screen (see image)
it’s Just unbelievably slow.

As any other one having the same issue or know how to fix it?

#348

how “big” are your thumbnails ?

are you using the in-built scraper to generate them ? or are you creating them using other software (eg thumbgen) ?

Large Resolution / File Size thumbnails will have an impact on navigation speed.

Related: have a read of my post regarding “TV Show” thumbnails … the same theory applies to Movie thumbnails (but only if you’re not using the WD scraper)

Not using any kind of software.

the only thing i did is to install titan theme.

and thats it.

#350

anybody,

what can i do to make it fater without playing with software to rezies the images?

#351

Working fine for me     (here’s a small 3mb video i took on my camera)

Version 1.5.35

What i would recommend is going back to the Default WD Theme (either Grid or Mochi)

If gallery view is very slow … then you have a problem that isn’t theme related

if that’s the case, provide more info … if not the case, i have no idea as it works fine for me as per the video sample

#352

WOW it goes really fast  ,

as far as i remember it went the same with Mochi theme.

look at my video

Ok, i’m gonna repeat myself…

When “Get Content Info” for Movies & TV Shows it downloads and creates a *.metathumb which are in fact *.jpgs (rename the extension to see)

Movies metathumbs are “Small”   eg. 154(w) x 231(h)  around 10kb

TV Shows metathumbs on the other hand, are “Huge”  eg. 680(w) x 1000(h)  around a whopping 500kb ! …

See Picture Below for a comparison

which causes massive slowdown to point where it’s pretty much un-usable.

Solution: batchrename TV Show metathumbs to *.jpg and batch resize them

(personally, i use 300x450 under 70kb which is a compromise between picture quality and speed. other people use 200x300 which is fine as well   )

For batch renaming and image resizing, i recommend these 2  *Free* easy to use softwares.

Batch Renaming:  http://sourceforge.net/projects/hashmirenamer/

Batch Image Resizing:   http://www.irfanview.com/

This is the resolution (size) is for your TV shows compared to movies… and is the cause of your slowdown.

P.S. I also noticed you (or someone) modified the Titan Live theme Version 1.5.35

How can i tell ?  1st picture from your video… actors and plot text is aligned to the “Right”

2nd picture from my video … actors and plot text is aligned to the “Left”  *which is how the un-modified theme is supposed to look)

Picture 1  aligned to the “Right” because the languge is HEBREW ,

Hebrew languge reads from right to left

there was no modification on the theme, when i set mt WDTV setting to hebrew languge , in most cases he garbs the info in hebrew, thats why you see it aligned to the right side.

now for the first part using software to resize the image , should i do this every time with tv shows ?

isnt there a way to make the WTDV to grab TV shows in smaller sizes metathumb

Yes

No

The only alternative is to use a 3rd party scraper eg. Thumbgen, WDHubGen etc

As far as i’m concerned it’s a bug that needs fixing … i’ve reported it here

#357

Hi everyone,

First post  just wanted to say thanks for the hard work on this theme, looks great on my new SMP ! I’ve gone through all 36 pages but didn’t see a reference to this. I am using 1.5.35, is it possible in the gallery view, for say movies, to move or remove the thumb/icon for the movie reference. Hopefully this image will clarify:

gaallery.jpg

thanks kindly

#358

just a guess … are your movies in *individual folders* ?

if so, then no, you can’t move or remove the thumbnail, because that will affect the thumbnail placement when you exit the folder.

(sure it’s technically possible to move or remove the thumbnail, but that will mess up how the navigation works)

Yes movies are in individual folders. I just wasn’t sure if I had messed something up so this clarifies things, thanks

Is it possible to change the default behaviour when booting. At one point I enabled the option to have videos load instead of the default home screen where I can select settings, music, photos etc. Is there a way to get that back ?

thanks kindly

#360

Theme’s can’t change default behaviour … they only change the appearance

Have you checked that your “Autoplay” setting in On and Configured ?

Setup > Operation > Autoplay

Side Note: Whenever you have a problem and you’re not sure what’s causing it … apply the Western Digital Default Theme (either Grid or Mochi) … if you still have the problem, then it’s not the Custom Theme that’s causing it.
