Thumbnails in menu

Hello all this is my first post so go steady!!!

I have a live player with a HP simplesave USB ex drive which has movies stored on it when in menus it shows the cover art work great , however I have copied this hard drive to my network harddrive a wd my book world edition blue rings and connected via Ethernet cat 6 and when in menus just wont show the cover art work any ideas guys???

ps would love to add music files to work this way also

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

Welcome to the forums.

How are you connecting to your network – media server or net shares?

With Net Shares you *should* see your thumbnails.  Are they external thumbs (separate JPG files) or are they embedded?  And if embedded, what file format?  (AFAIK only MP4 files support embedded thumbs with the Live).
