Sync My Cloud to Amazon Drive?

I’m just wondering: Is there a way to keep My Cloud shares synced to Amazon? I have unlimited storage on Amazon and it would be nice to have a second backup in case something ever happens to my drive.

Officially no there is no way to backup or sync a single bay My Cloud to an online storage site.

Unofficially one can use either third party backup software to backup a mapped My Cloud Share on their local computer to a remote location. Or one can attempt to use Rsync through the SSH command line to copy files from the My Cloud to a remote location. Do a forum search for Rsync to find several prior threads discussing how to use that option.

Thanks. I’ll definitely give that a try.

Rsync is used by WD for local backups NAS-USB. It is a fantastic software and works equally well on network backups. It runs almost everywhere. Think “rsync” when you think “backup”. You won’t need anything else. And it’s free.
