Surface Pro 3 not recognizing Wireless pro

I have Windows 10 on a Surface Pro 3. I bought a new wireless pro from WD today, and tried transferring some files from my surface pro to the drive. However, each time after I have transferred a bit of files, the drive goes off and refuses to be recognized. I have to switch my computer off and restart it for the drive to be recognized again which is a pain. Is there any way to resolve the issue?

Hello,

  1. Have you updated the firmware for the My Passport Wireless Pro to v1.01.11 ?
  2. I would also suggest to download the Universal Firmware Updater and update the Hard Drive via a PC by connecting to a USB Port.
