SN750 500GB AS SSD Score Half Speed

Could not find an M.2 Category?
I just installed a WD Black SN750 (500GB) drive in my Taichi X470/3900X system. The drive is installed in the M2-2 slot. Much to my dismay the AS SSD Benchmark (v2.0.6821.41776) shows a Sequential Read of 1484.20 MB/s and a Write of 1426.56 MB/s. I have run the benchmark program several times and get approximately the same results. The results are about half of what I expected and other people have posted.

Any idea on what the heck I’m doing wrong? I have several Samsung M.2 drives and they all score close to what is posted in their spec sheets. Do I have a bad Drive?

Looks like I posted my issue on the wrong site. After looking at the WD Dashboard Information the M.2_2 slot supports PCIe 2.0 X 4 versus the M.2_1 Ultra slot which supports PCIe 3.0 X 4. That’s exactly what the Taichi X470 manual says! Lot of comments on the ASRock Forum… I’ll try the drive in the M.2_1 slot and see if it performs as advertised.
