Slow file transfer to hub

I have recently upgraded my home wifi network to wireless N 300 Mbps. I was careful to make sure my pc’s adapter, my router, and my WD TV’s adapter are all wireless N 300 Mbps. I have not tried streaming, but I am transfering files over from my pc hard drive to the WD TV’s hard drive. They transfer speed is about 1 MB/second which seems low. Anyone know how to increase the speed? What speed should I be expecting on my current network?

PS - a wired connection to the hub is not an option.

And one more thing - several times the connection has been dropped mid-transfer. Any suggestions to fix that would be appreciated also. Thanks.

ain’t that some **bleep**. i’m wired in, pay for 25Mbps though my provider and can transer files up to 3Mbps, same with bittorrents though. I believe software based network transfers automatically transfer to mbps (1/8th of a Mbps). at least that makes sense.

if i’m correct u have either a 7Mbps cable or 12Mbps dsl connection, true?
