(severely a noob pls help) I lost my external hard drive wire connector that connects my drive to my laptop?

I have the WD hard drive wd6000h1u… I have the hard drive and I want to view photos I have on it but the thing is I lost the wire that you connect to the hard drive and laptop… sorry if this a dumb question but I’m not techy

I literally can’t find anything online, do I buy a new wire and if so where? do I have to buy the part that connects it to the wall too or?

Again sorry if this is extremely stupid I just don’t understand and I can barely find anyhting about this model I have lol

It’s just an ordinary Mini-USB cable.

WD sells replacement cables here:

Hey thanks, but the person above you said that it’s just a Mini-USB cable for the wd6000h1u. Is it? And if so, do I still need the part that connects to the wall to view my photos on it?

Well, yeah, you didn’t mention you lost the power supply, too… Yes, you’ll need that, too…

Ray, you said it, not me: you really are a noob. Look, as Tony said, it sounds like you lost the power supply, too, and if the power cable is not attached, but rather detachable, then you likely lost that, too.

I suggest you dig into the manual (downloadable from WD) and see just what you DO need, then contact the WD Store for assistance. You are the last guy who needs to go shopping around for any-cable-that-will work. You need hand-holding from WD. Good luck.
