Setting up My Passport Wireless SSD with mobile device - can't connect

Setting up my My Passport Wireless SSD for the first time. In trying to connect it up with my Samsung S9 via the SSD wi-fi, I continue to receive “Internet may not be available” messages on both the 2.4 & 5 GHz networks. Any tips on how to resolve this, so I can proceed with the My Cloud setup? Thanks.

Well, your phone is connect to the Passport wireless but have you setup the connection from your Passport wireless to your wireless router that has internet?

Thanks for your help. The Passport SSD is not yet connected to my home wireless router. Didn’t realize or read anywhere that that is necessary before connecting the Passport to my phone. How do I connect the Passport to my wireless router?
