I had a windows 7 laptop whose data i had backed up in WD MY book Essential. My laptop has now crashed and i bot a new mac pc. I need to retrieve those files into the mac but the WD my book which is windows formatted currently doesnt allow me to do it - anyway i can recover all those files into mac ? or dp i need to do it only on another windows based pc.?
I don’t know much about Macs. If you backed up with Smartware you will most likely need to install Smartware on another Windows PC to retrieve backups.
