I have just recently bought a 6Tb MyCloud and have installed Apps on my iPhone and iPad and using these Apps I can access my Private share no problem. When I try to access the same share on my Windows 7 laptop however I keep getting asked for a username and password and I have no idea what paticular ones these are. I have checked my access privelages for this share and I have full access rights. Can anyone tell me what is going on here please and the solution?
You would use the same User name you created through the My Cloud Dashboard and it’s password.
If you haven’t already done so you should take some time and read through the WD My Cloud User Manual as it explains how to setup Users, Private Shares and how to access a Private Share.
